Bio Sketch
In addition to attaining a B.S. in Agricultural Business Management, Rory earned a certificate in Sustainability. In her junior and senior years, she interned with UW's Office of Sustainability, where she worked on the Green Events, Green Greeks, Food, and SustainUW Podcast teams to advance sustainability efforts across campus. During the summer before her senior year, Rory undertook a Garden Internship at the People's Farm, a two-acre fruit and vegetable farm committed to supplying Madison residents with free produce. From her sophomore to her senior year, Rory interned at SlowFood UW, a nonprofit and student-run organization providing community members access to wholesome, local, and sustainable food. Throughout all four years of her undergraduate journey, Rory enjoyed shelving books as a Student Shelver at UW's Memorial Library and achieved a promotion to Student Lead in her junior year. Rory is excited to combine her education and work experience into a career focused on her professional passions: community building, food systems, environmental equity, digital media, and cross-functional collaborations.
Personal Reflection
UW Madison has profoundly shaped me in ways I never could have anticipated. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have had, the people I have met, and the mentors I have learned so much from. While saying farewell to Bucky brings a tinge of melancholy, I'm excited for this next chapter and what's to come! I will always be thankful for the friends, experience, skills, and knowledge I've gained here. On Wisconsin!
Message to Fellow Graduates
Being a part of the AAE and CALS community has been an absolute honor. Many thanks to the friends, professors, advisors, faculty, and staff who have made this pocket of UW Madison so supportive and welcoming.
