On campus, he was an active member of the Gamma Epsilon chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., serving as the treasurer and internal vice president. He also served in the Wisconsin Union Directorate as the director of Alternative Breaks, responsible for sending students around the nation on service learning projects during the winter and spring breaks. As a junior, Christian worked with UW Health as a project intern for the president of UW Health, and for the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Christian's work as an intern at the William S. Middleton Veterans Affairs Hospital helped increase the productivity of full-time staff. For the past two years, he has conducted published research in proteomics and cardiac systems biology at the Wisconsin Institutes of Medical Research (WIMR). He is a dynamic, proven, and committed individual looking to improve healthcare quality and increase access, particularly for those in underrepresented communities. Christian is currently seeking opportunities to help prepare him for medical school.
