In his dissertation, “Essays on the economic valuation of air, water, and climate pollution”, compilation of three essays, Theising uses property markets to measure environmental preferences, exploits ‘big data’, and innovates in both structural and reduced form modeling methods. Nominators praised Theising’s remarkable empirical skills, use of ‘big data’, and innovation in both structural and reduced form modeling methods to produce convincing results, and elegantly presented findings.
