Changing gender attitudes towards greater equality have the potential for sustained gains in women's welfare. This presentation will report the long term outcomes from a randomized intervention of a gender attitude change program implemented in secondary schools in Haryana. Preliminary results point to sustained attitude change among both men and women, and among women, greater personal autonomy. However, the intervention does not influence women's higher education, employment, or early marriage, pointing to persistent challenges to improving these outcomes for women.
