The Agricultural and Applied Economics M.S. AAE Traditional Option (MSTO) is a STEM-designated program for students interested in specialized areas of applied economics. These areas include Environment and Natural Resources Economics, International Development Economics, Economics of Agriculture, and Economics of Community Development. The MSTO offers flexibility by allowing students to choose courses within their chosen area of applied economics. The program consists of core courses and elective options, providing a solid foundation in one or two areas of applied economics. Unlike the MSPO program, it is solely focused on academic coursework and does not include professional development components. To earn the degree, students must complete 30 credits over approximately 3 to 4 semesters. Applications accepted only for the Fall term.
