AAE Student Research Colloquium
The THC-SRC is an independent forum for graduate students to present and discuss research ideas with their peers. Students utilize the forum to receive critical feedback on their own research, educate themselves about unfamiliar fields, help classmates improve their work, and develop new research ideas and methodological skills. Graduate students with similar interests from other fields are also encouraged to present.
If you are interested in presenting please email Nick Hudson or Jessica Zhu with the anticipated title of your presentation (you can change this at any time) and the date that you would like to present. One week before the date of the presentation, presenters must submit an abstract and a brief introduction about your undergrad and graduate education. Presenting students deliver a maximum 45 minutes oral presentation leaving 15 minutes for questions and answers. At the end of the semester we will announce the winner of the SRC award for best paper presentation! One for Master students and one for PhD students. We are looking forward to seeing your competitive spirit! The committee is formed by all THC representatives. The THC will sponsor the awards and these will be awarded in the last day of presentations each semester.
We encourage students at any point in their research to consider presenting their work in department seminars and workshops. For the convenience of those who are considering attending a conference, we have compiled a list of conferences that might be relevant.
