About RAI
The Renk Agribusiness Institute, originated with a gift from the Renk Family of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin to coordinate agribusiness teaching, research, and outreach activity on the UW-Madison campus. The Institute offers financial assistance to agribusiness students seeking a Master’s in Business Administration and students enrolled in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) and Agricultural and Applied Economics. The Institute also organizes agribusiness research studies and designs Agribusiness Executive Management programs.
Policy direction for the Institute resides with the UW-Madison Deans of CALS and the School of Business. Faculty of the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics in CALS and the Business School develop and administer Institute programs. The Institute works closely with the UW Center for Cooperatives, The Babcock Institute for International Dairy Research and Development, UW Center for Dairy Profitability, and various agribusiness industry groups to fulfill its mission.
